Theories are not Truth

In science: 1) Observation, 2) A series of hypotheses tested, 3) Law, 4) Theory.
“A hypothesis is elevated to a theory when it has withstood all attempts to falsify it….a “theory” has never been shown to be false, despite – usually – hundreds if not thousands of separate attempts to break it.” (http://pseudoastro.wordpress.com/2008/12/21/terminology-what-scientists-mean-by-fact-hypothesis-theory-and-law/
1 a : an assumption or concession made for the sake of argument b : an interpretation of a practical situation or condition taken as the ground for action
2 : a tentative assumption made in order to draw out and test its logical or empirical consequences
3 : the antecedent clause of a conditional statement
synonyms hypothesis, theory, law mean a formula derived by inference from scientific data that explains a principle operating in nature. hypothesis implies insufficient evidence to provide more than a tentative explanation <a hypothesis explaining the extinction of the dinosaurs>. theory implies a greater range of evidence and greater likelihood of truth <the theory of evolution>. law implies a statement of order and relation in nature that has been found to be invariable under the same conditions <the law of gravitation>.
1 : a thing done: as a obsolete : feat b : crime <accessory after the fact> c archaic : action
2 archaic : performance, doing
3 : the quality of being actual : actuality <a question of fact hinges on evidence>
4 a : something that has actual existence <space exploration is now a fact> b : an actual occurrence <prove the fact of damage>
5 : a piece of information presented as having objective reality
— in fact : in truth
The conviction of the mind, arising from evidence received, or from information derived, not from actual perception by our senses, but from. the relation or information of others who have had the means of acquiring actual knowledge of the facts and in whose qualifications for acquiring that knowledge, and retaining it, and afterwards in communicating it, we can place confidence.”

Excuse me for using the word “fact” incorrectly, and good catch! What I meant to say was that I do not like that a theory is presented in school as if it were correct and true without a doubt. A theory has merely been made from observation, then a series of educated guesses are tested. After many tests, there is a scientific law. Based on many hypothesis and laws, a theory comes to being. Until a theory is proven false, it is a temporary truth, or, the best bet for the truth that we have now.

Someday humankind will see that Darwin’s theory is incorrect, but humans are not so advanced just yet. Until then, receiving personal evidence from God is the way I determine what is truth. I respect your right to believe differently.
