Healthiest Sweeteners:

#1: Whole Foods which include natural sugars. (You must consume the foods whole, not extract sweetners from whole foods!)

Honey: Honey is bad for babies under 1 due to the bacteria inside it. Older than 1, your body can fight the bacteria. Honey also gives you a high and makes you crash. I add these. In my “Guide to Nutritional Healing” book, it says sugar helps hold the toxins in your body once they get there. Also, sugar has a high and a crash to give to your energy levels. You go up really high in energy, and there is a SUDDEN crash down to weakness, shakiness, and a need or craving for more (ie-addictive).

Cane Sugar, Cane Juice, Milled Cane, Sucanat, Florida Crystals, Turbinado Muscovado, Rapadura Sugars (all same, different names): Has nearly the same effects as sugar. The only difference is it is “less processed” (Silverstone). Does that mean anything to YOU? Not to me!

Artificial Sweetners:

Saccharin (Sweet ‘n Low): Neurological damage, bladder cancer (Silverstone)

Sucralose should only be consumed in extremely small amounts, and not very often!
