We have an awesome migratory bird season ahead in Northern Utah September to February! Spread the word! This is a great (free) field trip for homeschoolers in Northern Utah!
My family will be going on a field trip to the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area when the East and South areas are open. They will be open Sept. 25 to the end of February. We plan to go often. We also like the Bear River Bird Refuge. We will (TRY) to arrive there at 5:30 a.m. and leave at 8:30 a.m. so that we can see birds there when they are there eating, early in the morning.
If you want to go there and have binoculars, picnic lunches, water, that would be great. We have only one pair of binoculars. I wish we had more. They are planning to have a museum type entrance this fall. I do not know when the museum will open, but sometime this fall.
Spread the word. I hope you go and you enjoy it!
Mia McPherson’s On the Wing Photography –I found out about this from an E-mail sent by Mia to me. I highly recommend subscribing to her blog if you are “a birder” (if you love birds like crazy) like me. She has amazing photos and a great wealth of knowledge about the birds!
