  • Peace
  • Justice
  • Human Rights
  • Gender Equality
  • Women’s Empowerment

(Statements of the Heads of the WEF 2015 Convening Agencies)

“…Education can accelerate progress towards the achievement of all of the SDG’s…” (Sustainable Development Goals)

Children need skills necessary to live in a world which is more:

  • secure
  • sustainable
  • intedependent
  • knowledge-based
  • technology-driven

Education will have to take into account “multiple dimensions of human existnce,” in “promoting democracy and human rights and enhancing global citizenship, tolerance and civic engagement, as well as sustainable development (I.A.6).” This means places of worship, homes and group meetings will be monitored, too.

“enabling girls and women, empowering them economically…saves the lives of millins of mothers and children…essential element of efforts t reduce malnutrition.” (I.A.6)

I.A10: “Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women,” and “full development of the human personality and promote mutual understanding, tolerance, friendship and peace” (This cannot happen where the government is not in complete control of homes, families, education. group gatherings, the media and religion).

“Realistic intermediate benchmarks and stepping stones should be set at the national level…”and “…education content, approaches  structures and funding strategies…” (I.A.19)

“Education and training opportunities must be ensured (by) cross-sector approaches traversing education, science and technology, family, employment, industrial and economic development, migration and integration, citizenship, social welfare and public fincance policies…”

Muslims Do not Hate Christians. Muslims Are Kind and Good

I am so sick of seeing stuff plastered all over the internet about how Islam promotes violence to Christians or Americans! I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I do not believe in the trinity. I believe God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are three separate beings. Because of this, many do not believe I am truly a Christian. I am. I believe Jesus Christ is my Savior. I believe he was resurrected. I believe He paid the price for all of our sins, and that if we repent and follow Him, we can return to live with Heavenly Father again. I believe the Holy Ghost guides us and directs us, ti help us find the right way to go. I am telling you this so that you will see that I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I am as Christian as they come.

I also have a Muslima friend who loves me and has given me service kindly many times. She is a Christ-like person. She is an honest person. She is a very good person. She is wonderful. She loves her family. She is forgiving and believes in respect. She taught me how to be a good and compassionate listener in order to have a peaceful relationship. She believes in prayer. She believes in Allah, which is the Arabic word for “the one true God.” She believes in the Ancient Prophets. Her religion is Islam, and it teaches her to give and to serve. It teaches her to be kind and to be tolerant of the beliefs of others. She knows my beliefs and has said nothing rude or unkind about my beliefs.

I believe in freedom of religion. I believe that even those who are not Christian deserve this. I hope all Christians in this country want for the same. I believe that education about the beliefs of others is the only wqy to prevent tradgedies such as the Japanese Internment Camps and the Holocaust, from happening again.

I have seen much, lately, showing intolerance for Muslims. This is very scary to me. We, the citizens of the United States of America, must fight this leaning toward hate of another religion. This is not Christ-like. Jesus would not tolerate it. Do you remember who did not help, in Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan, and who did help? The one who helped was not of the same religion as Jesus. The tale does not only teach us to serve others kindly. It also teaches us that sometimes the more Christlike person may not share the religion of Jesus Christ.

Next time you see a patriotic video or article which shows a ohoto of Islamic kids with weapons, like this article, please consider this. There are also people who claim to be Christian, who do really bad things. Hitler is one example. Believing that all Muslims are like the Taliban is like unto believing that all Christians believe as Hitler did. Here is one example of an article which shows just how deceived people are about Islam. It shows small muslim boys with large machine guns in this photo. It talks about how much hate Muslims have for Christians. This is ridiculous. Pleaae do. Ot believe this stuff. Find a person whose religion is Islam (a Muslim) and ask them to tell you about their beliefs. I guarantee it will be more accurate than an article written by someone who has never met a Muslim.

Please! I beg you. Prevent another internment camp situation. Prevent another Holocaust. Educate yourself. Thanks!
